In 2023, DISACT researchers gathered for their first official team meeting, marking the beginning of a five-year project dedicated to investigating the crime of enforced disappearances. The meeting was held in Nicosia, Cyprus, and included a symbolic group photo in front of a UN checkpoint, reflecting the project’s interdisciplinary spirit and commitment to collaborative research across divided societies.
