Nikandros Ioannidis is Special Teaching Staff in Communication and Politics at the Cyprus University of Technology and a member of the DIGIPOLS research lab. He holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, a Master’s degree in Democracy and Comparative Politics from University College London (UCL), and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Internet Studies from the Cyprus University of Technology. His research interests lie at the intersection of digital technologies and democratic politics, with a focus on public opinion, political communication, and political behaviour. His research has been supported by various institutions and has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. He is currently working on a multi-year public opinion project combining cross-sectional and panel surveys with digital tools such as conversational VAAs.
