DISACT team member Nikandros Ioannidis presented the paper “Where Do Armed Actors Make Civilians Disappear?” at the European Consortium for Political Research General Conference 2026, held at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.
The paper examines where armed actors use enforced disappearance against civilians, contributing to DISACT’s research on patterns of political violence. The conference provided an opportunity to share this work with fellow researchers and receive valuable feedback from colleagues working in the field.
